Enrichment Programs

Avalon Academy offers a number of enrichment programs included in the daily curriculum and a few parent pay activities.

Art with Ms. Margarita (Infants – 5 years)

Ms. Margarita has been working at Avalon since 1987. Ms. Margarita loves Art. She enjoys creating her own artwork and teaching art to young people. Not only does she take pleasure in sharing her knowledge about the process of making art, but she wants her students to experience art and understand how much it affects their lives.

Ms. Margarita (1988) ” I have been in contests for jump roping, singing groups, and racing!”

Language Kids Spanish – Tuesdays (2.5 – 5 years)

Spanish classes are taught by professionally trained native speaking language teachers provide the students the opportunity to learn a foreign or second language at a young age. Students participate in authentic activities that are similar to real-life situations which help them learn a new language in the appropriate context. The curriculum is aligned with the Texas Education Agency and the American Council for the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL).

Let’s Dance with Ms. Genie – Tuesdays (2.5 – 5 years)

Tippi Toes – Fridays (2 – 5 years)

Tippi Toes is a high-energy dance class for all children! Ballet, Tap, and Jazz. Build Confidence, Improve Focus, Encourage Health Habits, Nurturing Environment.

Jolly Trolley – Thursdays (18 months – 5 years)

Classes take place in one of their customized Trolley! The trolley pulls up to the front of the school and stays parked the entire time. The seats are removed, the walls are padded, carpet flooring and age-appropriate gymnastic equipment is installed! The class is designed to help develop the student’s gross motor skills. This is the kids’ FAVORITE day of the week!
